COMMUNITY CENTER COMMITTEE
Membership and Criteria for Appointment
The Community Center Committee consists of seven (7) members: two (2) Councilmembers, two (2) Site & Architectural Commissioners, and three (3) Monte Sereno Residents. This application is to fulfill two (2) additional positions of Monte Sereno Residents for a total of three (3) residents.
All members of the Committee shall be residents and registered voters of the City, and have particular interest in and familiarity with building design and community activities. The City Council will consider selecting two additional members of the public for the Committee who have the background, knowledge of the City and its residents, experience and/or an interest in architecture, planning, construction and landscaping.
Committee Duties and Responsibilities
The purpose of the Community Center Committee is to:
(1) Help guide this project from the design phase through to completion.
(2) Ensure the Community Center Committee represents the residents of Monte Sereno.
(3) Balance the size of the Community Center Committee with decision making ability and speed.
Appointment Process
Please complete the application as set forth below. Please submit your application by 5:00 pm on Monday, February 6, 2023.
The City Council will consider all applications received by February 6, 2023 during the City Council meeting on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 and appoint two (2) additional members to serve on the Community Center Committee. Applicants are encouraged to attend the City Council meeting on February 21, 2023 and, if they desire, to speak with Council.
