The City encourages your participation in public hearings. As a courtesy, below are current notices for upcoming land use, code amendments, and other items pending before the City Council.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING 1 of 2

SUBJECT:                The City Council is conducting a public hearing to consider taking the following actions:

Hold a Public Hearing and  Introduce, By Title Only, An Ordinance Of The City Of Monte Sereno Amending Title 10, Section 10.06.140 of the Monte Sereno Municipal Code to modify regulations related to accessory dwelling units (ADU) and junior accessory dwelling units (JADU) consistent with new state law provisions; and amending Sections 10.05.020,10.05.030, 10.05.040, 10.05.043, and 10.05.045 of the Municipal Code to  allow ADU and JADU construction on all lots used for residential uses and make clarifications to existing building height restrictions and restrictions on maximum structural coverage and impervious coverage requirements; and amending Section 10.01.020 to modify the definitions of accessory dwelling unit and add definitions for junior accessory dwelling unit and setback.

SUBJECT:                18240 Daves Avenue - Applications #SP-19-10, SS-19-10, V-19-02, TR-19-07

The City Council will hold a public hearing to consider the application for a variance for a Special Use Permit (SP-19-01), Site Development Permit (SS-19-10), Tree Removal Permit (TR-19-07) and a Variance (V-19-02) for the construction of a 1,723 square foot two-story addition to an existing 2,075 square foot historic adobe home as well as a new 661 square foot accessory structure; with a reduced side setback for the primary dwelling from the required 20 feet down to 6 feet, as well as the removal of two (2) significant Oak trees.

If you challenge the above application in court, you may be limited to raising only those issues you or someone else raised at the Public Hearing described in this Notice or in written correspondence delivered to the City of Monte Sereno (18041 Saratoga-Los Gatos Road, Monte Sereno) at, or prior to the close of hearing.  Any decision by the City Council is a final decision.  Any legal challenge must be commenced within 90 days of the decision as required by the California Code of Civil Procedure section 1094.6.
